Positive Connections

Positive Connections is a program that works with children ages 8 to 17 who have a parent or caregiver with a mental illness.  The goal is to help children understand their parent’s illness and to improve their coping skills by providing:

·         Education about mental illness

·         Peer Support

·         One-to-one mentoring relationships with positive adult role models

Positive Connections is grant funded, and is a collaborative effort between the National Alliance for the Mental Ill of Greater Toledo, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Ohio, and Unison Behavioral Health Group.  The program has existed since 1999.  For more information go to www.positiveconnections4u.org.
