Children...Understanding Parents, Supporting One Another, Building ConfidencePositive ConnectionsPositive Connections is a program that works with children ages 8 to 17 who have a parent or caregiver with a mental illness. The goal is to help children understand their parent’s illness and to improve their coping skills by providing: · Education about mental illness · Peer Support · One-to-one mentoring relationships with positive adult role models Positive Connections is grant funded, and is a collaborative effort between the National Alliance for the Mental Ill of Greater Toledo, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Ohio, and Unison Behavioral Health Group.
