Aim High is Clubhouse Model Psychosocial Rehabilitation program of Unison Behavioral Health Group. The mission of Aim High is to create a quality growth environment offering opportunities to those with serious mental disabilities to develop their fullest potential for personal satisfaction, social activity and to lead vocationally productive lives in the community. Who Comes To Aim High? Aim high is open to any Lucas County resident (18 and over) with chronic and persistent mental illnesses. Aim High is a voluntary program; members select which aspects of the clubhouse in which they wish to be involved. How Is Aim High Structured? Naturally occurring tasks and activities critical to the operation of Aim High have been translated into volunteer opportunities for members. Aim High has three units which members choose from: Clubhouse Café/Kitchen (Foodservice) Unit Business Unit Vocational/Outreach Unit Each unit has staff advisors who assist members in learning and successfully completing the tasks of their unit. Members work closely with other individuals, allowing them to socialize, build relationships, work as a team, and to develop a support system. Vocational services are available to members of Aim High. Our Vocational Specialist assists members by providing assessments and linking to BVR ensuring successful employment in the community. Aim High is run by the members, the staff are guides. Aim High is governed by the members, who make clubhouse decisions, and suggestions ensuring that Aim High is the best it can be. In addition to our three units, Aim High also offers psycho-educational groups on topics of interest to members most afternoons. Why Join Aim High? Aim High is a place where members are able to grow, pursue interests, develop work goals, establish friendships, have fun, get out of the house, be empowered, develop leadership skills, etc. Due to Aim High’s friendly home-like environment, a member knows that they re in a supportive environment and is able to promote a sense of belonging.
